A seed bomb making workshop which accompanied my installation, The Erasure of North Hollow, in Marvin’s Grove. This workshop was part of the Spencer Museum of Art’s Halloweekend programing as part of Backyard Bash. In the seed bomb making workshop members of the public were taught how to make their own native grass seed bombs to take home. I sourced local clay from Lawrence and tall grass species such as big bluestem, Indian grass, sideoats grama and switch grass. The workshop attempted to balance the focus on history and loss in the installation with future vision and positive action.
